Chai Milk Tea Cookies

This dough will hold its shape when baking which makes it ideal for cutting out shapes. For extra insurance, leave the cut out cookies in the freezer for a few minutes before baking.
Ingredients
170g butter, room temp
150g sugar
1 large egg, room temp
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4  almond extract
280g flour
1 1/2 tbsp finely ground chai tea
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

For the coating
2 tbsp whole milk powder
3 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 tbsp cinnamon
Instructions
Beat the butter until creamy, add sugar and continue to beat.

Add the egg, vanilla and almond extract and beat a bit longer.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients and slowly incorprate them to the wet ingredients. Mix on low just until combined.

Divide and flatten the dough into two disks, wrap in plastic and age in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours and up to 5 days.

When ready to bake, preheat your oven to 350°F or 180°C. Remove the dough from the fridge so it begins to reach room temperature (you want it to be a bit cold when rolling). Roll thick, cut out shapes and  bake for 10-12 minutes.

Mix together the coating ingredients and dust the cookies liberally with it while still warm.
